Drums & Percussion
Behind the Kit
I remember it as if it were yesterday. February 9th, 1964 I watched the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and I was HOOKED.
I wanted to be a drummer. Blessed with supportive parents I began lessons at the local music store. I began practising on a used kit we found in the Toronto paper.
(I still own that kit and I’ve picked a few more along the way)
Throughout high school I played in every kind of band you could think of, giving me the opportunity to play in a variety of genres and time signatures. In 2004, after a musical birthday party with friends from high school, a band emerged that we called Glendale One (our alpha-numeric phone numbers growing up in Brampton Ontario) and we’ve been performing re-imagined Lennon/McCartney songs regularly ever since.
Recently, I’ve joined another band Spyre and we will be debuting all original material in the fall 2021.
